"Green Card" insurance contractis a policy of obligatory insurance of liability of vehicle owners recognized around the world. The countries participating in the "Green Card" system mutually recognize the insurance contracts concluded by one of the countries and guarantee compensation for the damage caused to the victim in case of a road traffic accident abroad.

Presence of the "Green Card" insurance policyis an obligatory requirement for entry in the majority of foreign countries by a car. The "Green Card" insurance policy is valid in the country specified therein. Prior to departure from the Republic of Belarus the "Green Card" contract should be concluded for the whole period, during which the car is used abroad, however, not less than for 15 days. When leaving the Republic of Belarus, the driver should submit the "Green Card" insurance policy issued by one of Belarusian insurance companies at the border.

The "Green Card" system is valid in the following countries: Austria, Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Britain, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Greece, Israel, Iran, Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Moldova, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland Sweden, Estonia.

Please note that the "Green Card" is not valid for Belarusian cars on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and does not replace the national policy of obligatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners.

The object of insurance under the "Green Card" contract is the liability for any damages that may be caused to the property and lives or health of third parties, when using the car outside the Republic of Belarus.

In other words, this contract helps you to insure not the property represented by your car, but your liability to third parties for any damage that you may inadvertently cause to their lives and health subsequently, as well as to their property as a result of a road traffic accident, which occurs outside the Republic of Belarus.

Please note that the "Green Card" is not a comprehensive insurance policy. This means that the "Green Card" contract helps you to insure your liability for damages to third parties. The costs incurred to repair your car after a road traffic accident shall not be paid under the "Green Card" contract.

The "Green Card" insurance policy may be concluded for the period from 15 days up to 1 year.

The "Green Card" insurance policy is valid on the territory of the countries, which are the members of the "Green Card" system, specified in the policy.

The cost of the "Green Card" insurance contract is the same in all insurance companies in the Republic of Belarus. The cost depends on the type of the vehicle (car, truck, bus etc.), countries, the territory of which the vehicle owner enters, insurance period.

In accordance with the legislation, the insurance premium under the "Green Card" insurance policy shall be paid as a lump sum and only in hard currency.
